This project inspired by Yahoo! Makers. I wrote this post as part of a paid campaign with Yahoo! and Blueprint Social. The opinions in this post are my own.

I took the easy way out with Krylon Glitter Blast spray but the way they did it on Yahoo Makers does allow for more accuracy.
I couldn’t leave well enough alone so I also added washi tape to the scissors shears.
Give them as a gift or keep them for yourself. Either way they are great way to bling up something ordinary. Giving something a little flare is my forte. Hello shiny sparkly scissors. Swoon!

These look fabulous!
Though I’ve got a few questions. Does the paint give the scissors a texture – like are they grainy, from all the glitter? And do they still open and close alright from the added stuff between the two sides? I would love to pretty up my boring black and blue scissors that I’ve had for ages, but they feel great in my hands and work beautifully and don’t want to ruin them!!
These are so fun and creative, Beckie! Love the colors and the washi tape is the perfect extra touch!
Thank you, Erin!
After you spray the sealer on there, it feels pretty good. They have a little bit of texture, but they aren’t scratchy or anything. And, yes, they cut perfectly.
