Last year I challenged you to do something different for Easter. Instead of spending your money to buy matching outfits for your family our family embraced the Forget the Frock movement and purchased matching t-shirts that actuallychanged the lives of people. In fact $4,350 was raised to change lives. Let’s double that this year!
Last year I partnered with my friend Amy in a campaign called Change Starts with One. The premise is you purchase shirts for your family in lieu of fancy Easter clothes and 100% off the proceeds went towards an organization with the highest amount of votes. Last year $4,350 was given to an organization called Love Without Boundaries. LWB provides humanitarian aid to orphans and impoverished children in China through education, foster care, healing homes (homes for orphans with serious medical issues), medical attention (hospitalizations and surgical procedures), nutrition, and orphanage assistance. This year there is a new design for the shirts available in gray. The shirts are available in adult and child sizes and have the option of v-neck or crew for the adults (crew is available for children sizes). The design, by my friend Amy, was inspired by Matthew 25: 34-45.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
For every shirt purchased you will also get to vote for the organization that you are most passionate about. The organization with the most amount of votes will receive all the proceeds from this movement.
