Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chick and I went thrifting together last week.  I thought what she tweeted was so appropriate “Had a blast thrifting with @infarrantly today!! Our vision for gross stuff is astounding. :)” IMG_1682_thumb[6] We started at Midland Antiques in downtown Indy.  Here are some things that caught my eye…

Damask was once considered only for formal living rooms and is now popular in any decor…I love the curvy legs on this piece.DSC05893This hutch could really be a showstopping piece in the right decor.  II love the detail on the lower doors.

DSC05894Looking for bowl filler?  How about empty turtle shells?  That would make a great conversation starter.

This “cheese” sign was ginormous.  It was all rusty and aged. How fun would it be in a photography studio?

DSC05898This Chinese apothecary cabinet would be perfect for a scrapbooking room.  Talk about big time storage space for all those brads, stickers, punches, embellishments, etc.DSC05902DSC05903Next we went to what I called “the ghetto furniture store.”  I found out it really does have a name.  It is a second hand furniture shop in downtown Indy where there are dimly lit rooms with used furniture everywhere.photo photo(2)Sarah bought this adorable waterfall bench to breath some life into.  photo(4) Lastly we walked next door to the D.A.V. thrift store and found a few nick nacky things.  I see spray paint in their future. Makeovers showing up at a blog near you!
