Last week when Kimba from A Soft Place to Land posted about decorating above windows a light bulb went off in my head.  I needed to put something above my three windows in my family room.  It would just finish off the space. Ok finish isn’t necessarily ever an option, is it?

I found three wrought iron pieces at the Hob Lob for half off ($21 total) that tied in with the damask pattern in the chairs.  LOVES!!DSC05616 I think they are perfect, even my husband commented on them…you know it is good decor when my man who never notices anything said he likes it.

DSC05612 This space will never be done.  I keep tweaking it and adding stuff to it and taking stuff away.  But isn’t home decor really an evolution of tastes anyway?  Just when my whole house is decorated the way I like it I will want to start on the first room I decorated and do it all over again. It is the fate of a creative person, I suppose.DSC05612 But for today…little changes make big impact, and I am happy.

Psssst…I am over here today sharing my favorite paint projects.  Come visit…

  3. Totally looks good – adds that balance and coordination and for an awesome price and for the record, I noticed that you changed the red books to the forefront of your two-tier table and I like them there – it just brings out the red in the curtains and I like the little items sitting atop the books… its the little touches that sometimes add the most pop and make the room feel that much more fun to be in. Eye candy…

  10. They are the perfect addition. I know what you mean when you say that you'll start all over again. I call it my 3 year itch. I can only keep something the same for so long and then I need a change.
