I found these adorable tall skinny bags that are perfect for M&M’s or Reese’s pieces. They are so cute filled with a little treat bag topper for an event like a baby shower, wedding shower, birthday, Valentine’s Day party, etc. I brought the Thanksgiving Reese’s pieces treat bag toppers to our turkey day gathering with family and they were a hit. I decided to replicate the cuteness for Valentine’s Day.
I scored some white chocolate peppermint Christmas M&M’s for $.10 a bag on clearance at Target after Christmas. Be jealous. I don’t prefer white chocolate but my kids don’t discriminate when it comes to chocolate. And since they were red and white no one even knows they are Christmas M&M’s. So I have made them Valentine’s Day M&M’s.
You can get the 1” x 8” test tube bags on eBay. I have found they are the cheapest there. I paid $6.60 out the door for 100 bags. That should last me all year since I usually only use about a dozen of them at a time.
Supplies:
1” x 8” bags (I bought mine on eBay-just search “1” x 8” bags”)
Red & white M&M’s
Glue Dots or double-sided adhesive
cardstock
scissors or a Fiskars Scalloped Punch
Fill the bags with the M&M’s and then seal them. Print out the printable M&M Treat Bag Topper and use a scalloped punch to cut them out. Adhere them with glue dots onto the top front of the bags.
Arrange them in a little pail (Dollar Spot at Target). This would look adorable on a Valentine’s Day brunch table, a teacher’s desk, or simply in an entryway chest as part of your Valentine’s Day Decor.
It looks like a little candy bouquet. YUM!
