Summer Succulent Wreath with Wood Slices

Hello sweet readers of Infarrantly Creative, Laura of Finding Home back once again to share a monthly project. This time, we are making a wreath, just in time for summer – with faux succulents. I recognize that succulents are suppose to be hard to kill, but I manage to do so just the same. This wreath is filled with faux succulents bought at the craft store as well as ones made from wood branch slices.

DIY Felt Flower Yarn Wreath

I might be obsessed with making felt wreaths.  I just love playing with felt in the fall.  I love the texture and weight of it.  And it just seems right to make a zillion felt wreaths.  They make great gifts and are very simple to make especially if you have some sort of die cutting machine.  This week I am going to talk about the difference between the Silhouette machine that I use so often, and the Sizzix machine that I have been playing with lately.  What I love about this felt flower wreath is that you can customize it for the season by changing out the flowers.  All you have to do is remove the pins.

Halloween Felt Flower Ruffle Wreath

Is it too early to start decorating for Halloween?  I usually say September 15th in this house, what say you?  This wreath could easily be made for any season with a different color felt and ribbon.  It reminds me of those circle ruffle wreaths that were so popular (and still are!) are couple of years back.  I love the ruffle-y texture that the flower shape gave on this one.

Paint Stick Wreath

No one loves a good paint stick project more than me. I have hung my jewelry on paint sticks, organized my cupboards with them, and even made a frame out of some. I have found another who adores those 12” – 14” sticks of solid wood as much as I do…(enter from stage left) Karianne from Thistlewood Farms.  She already showed you the amazing herringbone side table she made with paint sticks that you all thought was fabulous.  Today she is back, chopping them up and making a wreath.
