Hello! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m back to share another project! My husband, Anthony, and I…
Hi there! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m back again to share another project with ya! It would be safe to say that I really love plank walls (see here, here and here) … so much in fact, that I recently decided to make a wood plank door for our pantry. We’ve been working on our mudroom, so it only made sense to make a new door while we were at it, especially since our pantry is in our mudroom. I must say, I’m completely in love with it! It’s just what our mudroom was missing…
Don’t you love this back porch by designer Cindy Mihuc that was recently featured on House of Turquoise? It’s gorgeous. Everything on this porch is purposeful, from the porch swing to the storage bucket drink station. It’s totally possible to make a comfortable, useable outdoor space like this one–even if you don’t have an actual back porch. Check out the tutorials and ideas I found online to see five ways that you can get this look for less.
Hi there! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m back to share another project with you! We’re in the process of giving our small mudroom a makeover, so today I’m sharing our barn beam floating bench made from an old reclaimed piece of wood.
Hi there! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m so very excited to be part of the Infarrantly Creative contributor team! What an honor! Right now, my husband and I are working on our home office. We’re giving it a makeover… and definitely adding some organization, which leads me to today’s project. I really like ribbon and I have a habit of collecting it, but the problem was, I didn’t have anywhere to display it. I’d toss it in a basket and then forget about it. I wanted something that would be pretty enough to sit out, and big enough to hold several rolls of ribbon and store a few extra rolls too.
Laura, from Finding Home, knows how to make anything out of yardsticks – I am convinced. Do you remember her deer art made out of yardsticks? It is one of my favorite projects she has done here on IC. Today she is back with an even easier project that makes a huge statement. A holiday star out of yardsticks that looks great outside, on a mantel or part of a gallery wall.
The older I get the more I get into sparkle, glimmer and shine. I never was a bling girl before. In fact, truth be told, I was a little bit of a tomboy growing up. But there is something so feminine about shine and shimmer. I am noticing the older I get the bigger the earrings, the chunkier the necklaces are and the more I love dolling myself up. Or maybe it could be hoping the bling will distract from the signs of aging {giggle}.
Looking for a personalized and inexpensive Christmas gift? These are so simple and cost effective you can make them for your neighbors or co-workers. I am a big word nerd and so is my mom. Growing up, she would kick my tail at Scrabble all the time. It never made me give up though, and to this day, I love any word game – even though my hubby won’t play with me because he loses. 🙂
Hi Infarrantly Creative readers! It’s Sarah from Sarah M. Dorsey Designs and I’m back to share an easy way to customize a table top by adding wood tiling. I used some driftwood from the beach to give it a reclaimed and upcycled look. Adding wood instantly adds texture and warmth to contrast the shine of the metal. I love it!!
As part of the bird and branches baby shower I threw for my friend Aimee, I cut up some old tree limbs I found curbside and made them into place card holders that doubled as photo holders after the shower. I am digging bringing some natural elements into my home lately so I saved a few for myself.
