Coral & Gray Bedroom Makeover – ROOM REVEAL

This room started out as a space whose door was shut all the time.  My nephew had moved in with us for a short time years ago and that was his room.  When he decided to move back home my heart broke in half so I didn’t open the door for a long time.  I finally decided it was time to create new memories in that room and it was really cathartic to envision a new space for our family and the guests that enter that house. So 18 months ago I started that process.  Today it is complete.

How to Paint Curtains

I was inspired by the Crate & Barrel Alston Panels for $99 a piece. So they were either way out of my price range or not long enough. I decided to customize some plain curtain panels from IKEA by painting gray stripes on them.  They look amazing and totally changed the look of my family room.

Stenciled Outdoor Rug

I am not the first nor the last to stencil a rug.  It is such a cheap way to make a graphic impact in a seating area.  The girls from East Coast Creative guest posted here on their stenciled outdoor rug.  After I hit publish I immediately went and bought the $18 indoor/outdoor rug from Home Depot.  Add in three cans of spray paint and some fabric sealer and I have finally completed my outdoor living area.
