Upcycled Painted T-Shirt Skirt

I am on a t-shirt kick this week.  Did you see the scarf and dress I made for Kayla already? I thought it would be fun to paint stripes on an old t-shirt (that got accidentally bleached – DOH!) and turn it into a ruffled striped skirt for my daughter.  Now I did this project a couple of years ago and my daughter still wears the skirt. While is is almost ready to be passed down on the hand-me-down train I thought we could retake a look at it once more before that happens.

Vintage Metal Magazine Rack Revamp

Well, it is official, after a year and a half my guest room is complete. I will show you the room in its entirety later this week.  ROOM REVEAL ALERT!  Woo hoo! The last and final touch was a little magazine rack I found at the same auction I got the vintage sheet that I made into a skirt, and the little chevron stool.  It was very tarnished but I loved the vintage metal look and thought it would be a great place to store my decor magazines.  Spray paint to the rescue!

Coral Painted Dresser

I am dying to find a dresser like this beautiful coral one that Destiny from A Place for Us painted.  It looks similar in shape to the yellow painted dresser I did for a friend.  The card catalog library pulls just makes me swoon.  This is Destiny’s debut project here on IC, so give her some love.  I know you will fall in love with her style like I did.
