Paint Stick Wreath

 No one loves a good paint stick project more than me. I have hung my jewelry on paint sticks, organized my cupboards with them, and even made a frame out of some. I have found another who adores those 12” – 14” sticks of solid wood as much as I do…(enter from stage left) Karianne from Thistlewood Farms.  She already showed you the amazing herringbone side table she made with paint sticks that you all thought was fabulous.  Today she is back, chopping them up and making a wreath.

Paint Stir Sticks Picture Frame {Mod Podge Image Transfer}

Mod Podge is one of the most versatile mediums in my craft arsenal.  It comes in a zillion different formulas and shine.  The latest Mod Podge I got to try was the Image Transfer.  Did you know you could use Mod Podge to transfer an image to fabric, wood, glass or virtually any other surface?  I also added paint sticks to create a wood frame around it.

5 Ways to Decorate with Paint Sticks

You know how much I love getting something for free and figuring out a way to fix it up into something pretty or useful.  I’m always stopping by the paint department of my local hardware store, and every time I buy a can of paint, it comes with a small stack of paint stirring sticks.  One day it dawned on me that those paint sticks gathering dust in my garage were actually pre-cut and pre-measured pieces of free, quality wood, and a world of possibilities opened up before me!  I’ve since used those paint sticks to organize my kitchen and my jewelry.  I’m not the only one who has figured out that paint sticks = free craft supplies.  Check out these five other creative uses..
