So I finally have one room in my new home that is finished. Unless, of course, you count my garage…
Those of you following me on Instagram may have already heard the news: we closed on our new house! There’s something really exciting about making new spaces yours. Naturally, I can’t help looking for inspiration everywhere. This pretty room from the Utah Valley Parade of Homes that was featured by The Project Girl definitely caught my eye. I looked for tutorials online that can help anyone replicate the look of this aqua bedroom. Check out the following 5 Ways to Get this Look.
You guys, I think I’m in love…..with A ROOM.  This room, a beautifully decorated sitting room in the home of Katelyn James.  Katelyn is a photographer, and her artist’s eye for color and design really shows in this room that she decorated herself.  I can appreciate the fact that this room doesn’t have to be full of furniture to make a style statement.  It’s simply a beautiful room.
Remember my guest bedroom?  I loved decorating that room.  The combination of coral and gray remains one of my all time favorites.  So it’s easy to see why this bathroom pictured at Martha Stewart Online stopped me in my tracks.  It’s a palette of gray, coral, and just a hint of blue–a match made in heaven with my guest room!
New Year’s Eve is quite the event at my house. Since it involves lots of kiddos running around, I tend to keep things pretty simple and don’t go too crazy with fancy decorations or gourmet food. So really, it seems like the perfect color trend to incorporate into a celebration of the New Year.
Over and over again, I hear how hard it is to decorate for tween-age girls. I’m a long ways from…
This room started out as a space whose door was shut all the time. My nephew had moved in with us for a short time years ago and that was his room. When he decided to move back home my heart broke in half so I didn’t open the door for a long time. I finally decided it was time to create new memories in that room and it was really cathartic to envision a new space for our family and the guests that enter that house. So 18 months ago I started that process. Today it is complete.
I am dying to find a dresser like this beautiful coral one that Destiny from A Place for Us painted. It looks similar in shape to the yellow painted dresser I did for a friend. The card catalog library pulls just makes me swoon. This is Destiny’s debut project here on IC, so give her some love. I know you will fall in love with her style like I did.
I needed one last piece in the corner where my new mini bookshelf went in the guest room to kind…
