This focal wall in a bedroom featured by HGTV.com stopped me in my tracks!  How can you not take a second look at that fun rainbow striped wall?   The striped wall, the bright colors, the refinished furniture–it’s all stuff I love.  So of course I had to look for some DIY tutorials to help you achieve a similar look for less.

This room started out as a space whose door was shut all the time.  My nephew had moved in with us for a short time years ago and that was his room.  When he decided to move back home my heart broke in half so I didn’t open the door for a long time.  I finally decided it was time to create new memories in that room and it was really cathartic to envision a new space for our family and the guests that enter that house. So 18 months ago I started that process.  Today it is complete.
