So these are the latest creations that I have been working on…soldered ornaments. I got my inspiration from The Vintage Pearl . I gave this to my half sister Chris as an early Christmas gift. Chris loves Christmas and makes a PLETHORA of yummy Christmas cookies every year and loves getting into all the festivities of Christmas. My favorite are her sugar cut-out cookies with frosting on it. HINT HINT SIS! I could eat a dozen in one sitting easy. I thought it would be fun for her to have on her tree and look back and say, “Wow look how young we look!” If you click on the pictures you can see the detail. I am slowly getting better at soldering. It DEFINITELY takes practice. But the sky is the limit as far as what you can make sandwiched between two pieces of glass.

  1. Hi Beckie — I just found your blog. I love these little ornaments — do you have a tutorial on how to do them, or is there one on the internet anywhere? What do you use to wrap around the glass? I think we have a soldering iron, but I don’t know anything about soldering LOL! Also, do you have to have the glass cut, or can you buy little squares like that?
