Soft Pretzels

I love my bread machine!  So, very, very much.  She makes all sorts of yummy for me.  I love it when I can get my kiddo involved in the process.  Because I enjoy being Mrs. Awesome Snack Mom we decided to break out this treat when we had friends over.

Put the following in the bread machine in this order:

  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of warm water
  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast

When you hear the beep run to your bread machine and with floured, cleaned hands and a floured surface let your kids sculpt, shape and mold.

Sprinkle with some Kosher salt and pop it in a 325 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.IMG_1445IMG_1452

Watch the excited little faces as they see their browned beauties emerge from the oven.

  1. This is a great idea. I have a bread machine that I haven't used in about I think 8 years. 🙁 Maybe I should dig it out and do this fun recipe. And are these the Anderson's kids by chance?
