I interrupt this normally crafty blog for a sappy announcement. I don’t normally write posts like this.  But I can’t go on a moment longer without telling you about the sweetest person in blogland.  Amanda from Serenity Now has got to be the kindest blogger out there.  serenity now

Me new profile (1)

Not only does she takes time to leave sweet comments on your posts (raise your hand if you have ever had a heartfelt comment from Amanda!) but she works her butt off at building a community on her blog and her readers love her.  I hope one day I can meet her in person and tell her how wonderful I think she is.

She will never be the biggest or the shiniest blog out there but she is faithful with the corner of blogland that she has and to me…that is…quite impressive.  From the bottom of my heart Amanda…thank you for being so kind, compassionate, loving and gracious.  You make blogworld a little brighter because you are in it.

Would you take a minute and good visit Amanda today?  Tell her IC sent you.

  1. Amanda is AWESOME! She is a shining example. I especially appreciate her consistency–all day, every day, she is a fantastic member of the blogging community. I like the way she practices what she preaches. She’s written about blogging etiquette and blogging myths, and she actually DOES everything we all agree bloggers SHOULD do. And she does it all with style, panache, good humor, kindness, and even good grammar!

I had the privilege of meeting Amanda in real life for lunch one time. Now you’ve made me want to see her IRL again.

Beckie, I think it’s terrific that you broke from your normal pattern of posting to write this commendation of Amanda. I’m sure it means a lot to her, and it speaks really highly of you that you’re willing to share the spotlight here on your own blog. Makes me think “It takes one to know one”–you can recognize goodness because you have so much of your own. Thank you!

  2. Without being completely sappy and going all Sally Field on you, I have to tell you that I’m honestly sitting here with tears in my eyes over the kind words you’ve written, Beckie. I needed some extra encouragement today…and I feel like God used you (and a very sweet comment from Richella earlier) to brighten my day. Thank you so much…I’m really honored that you would take time out from your busy schedule to share my blog with your readers. That means more to me than you probably know! Many, many thanks! 🙂

  3. Amanda is truly awesome. She was one of my very first commenters and still drops by. She’s always uplifting and supportive. It’s because of people like her that I’m proud to say I’m a blogger. (you, too, Beck!)

  4. I just love Amanda and her blog! She is one of the first bloggers I followed a couple of years ago and is still one I read every day 🙂

  5. I started a blog this summer and Amanda was beyoooond helpful and inspirational! I loved Amanda’s blog and so I emailed her several (moronic) questions and SHE ANSWERED with such grace! Her blogging series saved my bacon many times and her heartfelt comments kept me plugging away! With her own busy life and awesome blog, she still finds time to cheer on other bloggers!
Thank you so much for writing this!
