You know how you purchase those fun electronics for your kids?  And then they beg for you to open it right away?  So you grab scissors, a knife or a saw and start gnawing at the package?  And then you have a sharp corner? And then you cut your finger? And then you start bleeding? And then you look for a band-aid? And then you ruin the Christmas present opening experience?  Well I have found an easier way to open those annoying blister packages.   All you need is a can opener!

And I can attest this TOOOOTTTTALLLY works.  I tried it on a new curling iron I purchased last week.  So don’t waste your money on a Zip-it, Open-it, Crush-it, Kill-It (okay maybe those aren’t the real names) or any other gimmicky product out there.  Just go in your kitchen drawer and grab your can opener.

Open your can opener and squeeze it down over the edge and crank it all the way around and the top just pops right off.  Booya!

So I can’t take credit for this idea.  I actually saw it on Indy Style, my local lifestyle show here in Indianapolis.  One of the co-hosts, Tracy Forner shared this tip last week.  Brilliant huh?

Have a Merry Christmas present opening morning!
