I can’t believe how early Easter is this year. Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day and next thing you know it is Easter. Do you do Easter baskets with your kiddos? Once the kids get a little older (my son is almost 10) it is fun to do themed basket around a movie, game or event. We recently got OPEN SEASON: SCARED SILLY sent from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. It is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray in stores everywhere (or Amazon and Walmart). My son loved the previous Open Season movies so I decided to make his Easter basket reflect the movie. It is kind of a movie/camping Easter basket.
One of the tips for filling Easter baskets is to stuff the bottom with some brown kraft paper. Then add some Easter grass to cover it up. It is cheaper and takes up more space that way.
I also made a camo ribbon bow for the front of the basket.
Then arrange all the candy and stuffed animals.
Another tip is to don’t be afraid to have items outside of the basket. I added a camping blanket under the basket since it wouldn’t fit in the basket. It still looks adorable.
Here is a quick snippet about Open Season: Scared Silly. Elliot, Boog and all your favorite woodland creatures are back in a brand new, comedy adventure, OPEN SEASON: SCARED SILLY. When a case of mistaken identity leads both humans and animals to believe there is a monstrous werewolf on the prowl in Timberline National Forest, former hunter Shaw seizes on the opportunity to re-open open season. With Shaw on the loose and all the animals at risk, it’s now up to Boog, Elliot, and Mr. Weenie to face their fears, track down the elusive werewolf, and get open season closed permanently.
Check out the trailer for Open Season Scared Silly…it is a family friendly movie.
