I never would have thought to give the gift of organization to someone.   What a great idea!   It is always a struggle, especially for young kids to keep themselves and their art supplies organized.   Why not make up a personalized space for them to keep their supplies?   Join Myra from My Blessed Life as she shows you how to make an office supply organization gift.

Hey there fabulous Infarrantly Creative readers!! I’m Myra from My Blessed Life! I’m so excited that Beckie invited me over to share a frugal gift idea with you today! My passion is to inspire you to creatively thrive in your home, so I hope you feel inspired to give handmade this holiday season. Today, I’m sharing a thrifty personalized organizer that can be customized for a home office, a bathroom vanity, a jewelry organizer and more!

Cute, right? It only cost about $5!

Thrifty Personalized Organizer

Supplies Needed:

  • small ceramic or metal tray {1.00 at the thrift store}
  • 3 drinking glasses {1.00 each at the thrift store}
  • scrapbook paper
  • scrap ribbon
  • mod podge and brush
  • glue stick
  • scissors
  • ruler

Cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit on the bottom of the tray. Brush ModPodge on the back and stick it down. If you create an organizer to be used in a bathroom or kitchen be sure to seal the paper with a heavy top coat of ModPodge.

Print out words to use as labels. Cut them out with decorative scissors.

Glue the word labels to scrapbook paper and then cut them out.

Cut ribbon to go around each glass.

Using the adhesive of your choice {glue stick, tacky glue, spray adhesive}, glue the ribbon in place. Then glue the labels on.

A more expensive, permanent variation for the labels would be to use chalkboard paint. Gifted with a chalkboard marker would be a thoughtful, lovely gift. Either way, this simple, frugal gift is sure to bring a smile.

Is it just me or do you also enjoy how pretty and fun it is to get organized? I’m looking forward to the new year with a new opportunity to get my craft supplies under control!

Thanks Beckie for having me today!!
