Wrinkle Release Recipe

Have any of you watched the Veggietales, “Larry Boy and the Bad Apple?” In the movie, LarryBoy uses his sports elixir (gatorade) to escape the Bad Apple’s web. He pours some on the web and it disappears and he says, “Wow the oompfh has umpfh!” Well the magic elixir according to my dear hubby is Downy Wrinkle Releaser. He may actually not the love the stuff as much as he does if his wife would iron for him. I do a lot of things but ironing is not my fortay. “Gasppppp!”

His mom put some in his stocking for Christmas (yes we still get stockings) and he loves the stuff. He ran out this morning, I saw the bottle in the trash. To avoid my husband begging me to buy it (I have not seen a coupon for it) I thought, how hard can this stuff be to make? So I look on the back to see the ingredients and it says: fabric relaxer, water, quality control agents and perfume. Hmmmm sounds awful similar to WATERED DOWN FABRIC SOFTENER to me. After several attempts here’s the recipe. 1 part fabric softener to 4 parts water. I used 1/8 cup of fabric softener and 1/2 cup of water. Make sure you put it in a FINE MIST spray bottle. Wahla! The Oompf has Umpfh! It works, try it.

The only negative can be the smell. I would try a fabric softener that doesn’t have a strong smell unless you like your hubby smelling like a garden of flowers. I don’t mind too much, sniff sniff!
