Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chick and I hosted a Goodwill Shop and Hop in the Indianapolis area last month and we wanted to showcase what some of our truly talented Hoosiers and one Kentuckian made over from their Goodwill loot.shophop Erin from Beauty in the Attempt turned this $1 Goodwill find…IMG_0310[1] into this “lovely” piece. Julie made this trashed coffee table into this gorgeous white upholstered ottoman.  WOW!!goodwill transformation 2 copyJulie has some mad sewing skills!  She also took this funkalicious skirt and got three beautiful uses out of the fabric…

100_6801_thumb[9] Peggy from Pig Logs and Taterberries got this awesome rug and gave it a prominent place in her home.  What a find!03Then she took this beautiful (cough, cough!) singing angels pillow and gave it a new life…022025

Lisa found a doll crib for her daughter’s birthday gift.  With a little white spray paint and tightening up some screws she made it look brand new.

I hope you enjoyed the before and afters.  With a little imagination, a can of spray paint and some Goodwill items you can get a lot of mileage in your home decor for a fraction of the cost of purchasing it new.
