Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chick and I hosted a Goodwill Shop and Hop in the Indianapolis area last month and we wanted to showcase what some of our truly talented Hoosiers and one Kentuckian made over from their Goodwill loot. Erin from Beauty in the Attempt turned this $1 Goodwill find…
into this “lovely” piece. (See her post here).
Then she turned these little terracotta pots…
into these painted numbered pots. So sweet!
Shannon from Quarry Orchard used her Krylon Oil Rubbed Bronze (ORB) Spray Paint from her swag bag and attacked some candlesticks.
and look and these before and after ORB beauties …
She definitely had a vision, that ORB spray paint made them classic home decor…
Julie made this trashed coffee table into this gorgeous white upholstered ottoman. WOW!!Julie has some mad sewing skills! She also took this funkalicious skirt and got three beautiful uses out of the fabric…
Gail from My Repurposed Life turned this huge candlestick and pot lid into an amazing birdbath. Click here for more details.
Isn’t it pretty? It looks like a patina finish.
Peggy from Pig Logs and Taterberries got this awesome rug and gave it a prominent place in her home. What a find!
Then she took this beautiful (cough, cough!) singing angels pillow and gave it a new life…
Lisa found a doll crib for her daughter’s birthday gift. With a little white spray paint and tightening up some screws she made it look brand new.
Lastly Tricia from Rejuvenating Trisha Lou got her spray on with the ORB spray paint .
I hope you enjoyed the before and afters. With a little imagination, a can of spray paint and some Goodwill items you can get a lot of mileage in your home decor for a fraction of the cost of purchasing it new.
seriously impressed with that coffee table turned ottoman! I am loving that one!!!
I'm incredibly impressed, and now I want to go to Goodwill. I think I'll go after work! I am super impressed with the birdbath. That's genius!
Wow! Cute! I can't believe the candlestick/pot top bird bath. Very clever! 🙂
Either I have no vision, or my Goodwill stinks. Probably an awful combination of the two.
I came here to read about how you met your home but was too distracted by this fabulous post! What AWESOME finds, and better yet, how you creatively gave them new life! I'm a follower now!
