Welcome to Great Idea Day! Ok I can’t really take credit for this idea. However, that does not make it any less GREAT! I actually saw it on Bonnie’s from Creating a House of Grace. I told you before about my obsession with the Get Clean Shaklee products.  I got this rack from Wal-mart (it comes with two other different sized racks) for about $7.

Unfortunately it fit perfectly inside my cabinet. I needed to screw it in and the thin cheap-o cabinets would not allow any screw.  I tried gluing it in but that did not work.  So I had to get creative.  I went to Home Depot and got these electrical midget straps, bent them a little to make them fit and screwed it in with little screws. It love how it fits my Basic H and the three cleaners (Degreaser, Window Cleaner and All-Purpose Cleaner).IMG_0264IMG_0265IMG_0266 Grab the button above and add it to your post and then link up. It doesn’t have to be a new post, grab one from your archives. What is that one thing that you thought, “Wow that is a great idea!”  That is what we want to read about!  A great recipe, an organization strategy, cleaning secret, timesavers, tricks or tips.  I loves em all!

Great Idea Day

Hello and welcome to Great Idea Day!  Grab the button off my sidebar and add it to your post and then link up. It doesn’t have to be a new post, grab one from your archives. What is that one thing that you thought, “Wow that is a great idea!”  That is what we want to read about!  A great recipe, an organization strategy, cleaning secret, timesavers, tricks or tips.  I loves em all!  Link it up!

Here are a few I am sharing with my Mom’s Time Out group this morning and thought I would share with you.

#1 Vacu Vin Pineapple Corer Slicer

Ever since my trip to Hawaii a few years ago I loves me some fresh pineapple.  The stores around here charge $1 more for a sliced pineapple.  I searched high and low and read tons of reviews and ordered the Vacu Vin off Amazon.

Look at it in action.

After I slide the pineapple off the Vacu Vin I slice the whole thing in fourths and store it in the fridge.  Then I remove the core and use the pineapple shell for a little bowl for my fruit dip.  It makes a pretty table presentation.

Stacy’s Fruit Dip

1 block of softened cream cheese

1 small jar of marshmallow fluff

splash of vanilla

Whip it together and store the leftovers in the fridge.

#2 Razor Scraper

Whenever I clean my countertops or stove top and I have dried Mod Podge, paint, food on it I use a razor scraper to remove it.  No need to soak crustified gunk with a cleaner just scrape it off lightly with a razor scraper. You can find them for a couple of bucks at Home Depot or Lowes.https://i0.wp.com/www.factsfacts.com/MyHomeRepair/images/RazorBladeScraper.jpg?resize=200%2C200&ssl=1

Be smart people, it is a knife.  Don’t dig it into your countertop or stovetop.

#3 LOL Mabel’s Labels

Ok now Mabel’s Labels in one of my sponsors but it really is a “great idea.”  I have these LOL labels that I mark sippy cups, bottles, snack traps and plastic containers.  The best part about them is that they are dishwasher/microwave-safe and UV resistant.  They won’t wash off, peel off or fade away. You get 45 of them so that should last for years. The ladies at church love me because my child’s stuff is marked.  Amazingly enough, I never lose sippy cups anymore.

IMG_1708 Speaking of these snack traps…if you have a 1-3 year old these things are the best.  You put Cheerios or whatever in them and they can get their chubby little hands in but the snack doesn’t fall out.  The brand I have is by Munchkin.  You can buy a 2 pack at Amazon also.

I did not get paid by Vacu Vin nor am I an Amazon affiliate.  Mabel’s Labels is one of my sponsors but they did not pay me for this post nor for my love of their product.
