Infarrantly Creative Top Favorite DIY Things of 2015
1. Kreg Jig R3
While I prefer the Kreg Jig K4 I am giving away the Kreg Jig R3 so you can get your feet wet and try a your hand at building a project. This is by far a must in my wood shop. If you haven’t heard, a Kreg Jig allows you to drill a pockethole to join furniture together without nails or screws showing.
Hands down the best way to paint. You get a perfect finish and it is way quicker than rolling or brushing.
I have this in a drawer in my hallway and I am always grabbing for it when I need a screwdriver. It isn’t too powerful, like a drill would be. And it is perfect for putting together IKEA furniture (not that I have done that about 100 times this year). The nice part is it extends out to screw in hard to reach places.
4. 3M Command Picture Hanging Strips
If you have been on my site for more than 5 minutes you know I have a deep, abiding love for 3M Command Picture Hanging Strips. I use them all them time for styling photo shoots, gallery walls, and it is on every single thing that hangs on a wall in my house because I can’t stand crooked frames.
If I am doing a woodworking project you can bet I either use Minwax Dark Walnut, Special Walnut or Weathered Oak on it. I especially love the Dark Walnut paired with creamy white trim. Swoon!
6. Gorilla Wood Glue
I love this stuff. I use it whenever I build any type of furniture or work with wood. The dry time isn’t too quick and it is easy to clean up with a wet rag.
7. My Crafternoon Holiday String Art
This is more of a shameless plug, but ya’ll!!!!! I have my very first product in a store. The holiday string art kit is available at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft store. Everything you need to do this project in an afternoon is enclosed in the envelope, with the exception of a hammer. It is super cute to add to your holiday decor!
8. My three favorite colors of spray paint: Krylon Sea Glass, Gold Metallic and Coral Isle. You can buy them at Walmart. It seems like I am always grabbing one of these three colors if I have the choice on the color something will be.
And there you have it. My favorite 8 DIY tools/supplies. And one lucky winner will receive it all in the mail! Follow the directions in the widget below.
Thank you Imperial Sugar for sponsoring this giveaway.
Can’t wait to find out the winner! I’m repurposing an old desk into a gorgeous wine rack, so I could basically use any and all of this! So excited!!
