Hey there! It’s Carmel from Our Fifth House, and I’m back today with yet another project made out of scrap wood. You might remember last month when I shared the decorative wooden arrows I made out of scrap wood. Slowly but surely that pile of leftover wood that has been collecting dust in my garage is dwindling down! Woohoo! Nothing gets my creative juices flowing quite like the need to de-clutter. Ha!
I started with a piece of leftover scrap wood.
When everything was dry, I glued the clothespins to the board.
I added one of these guys to the back for hanging.
I’m not sure where I’m going to hang her yet, but I really really love the way she turned out! I love a good mix of textures – the gold clothespins with the vintage baubles are a great contrast to the distressed wood. And you really can’t beat a project that uses things you already have on hand!I don’t know what it is about these 4×4 snapshots of life, but I just adore them; and it makes me super happy to display them in my home.
Are you on instagram? Do you print your insta-photos to display in your home?
Love how unique this Instagram display is!
Thanks! I love repurposing pretty old things. The vintage earrings really make this piece extra special!
