Thank you to Cottonelle for encouraging me to Respect The Roll by sending me these awesome roll covers and Cottonelle Clean Care product and sponsoring my creativity. You can enter to win roll covers yourself by visiting Cottonelle’s Facebook page!

So Cottonelle is doing a campaign to respect the roll.   Since toilet paper is a necessity and not so much a beauty item we all hide our toilet paper usually under our sink.   Well they have come out with some new roll covers to encourage you to let the tp out of hiding and be out on display.   So they sent me three roll covers and encouraged me to be creative.

Well since I never back down from a challenge I decided to take them on.   I couldn’t alter the cover in anyway but I could add to it.   So I decided why not play up the display factor and give it its own pedestal!

I had this old candlestick that I inherited somewhere along my journey.   I started knocking the top off in order to make the base smaller.   Then I primed and painted it with Krylon Ocean Breeze.

Next I used some Gorilla Glue and adhered the base to the bottom of the roll cover (and let it dry overnight) and added my Cottonelle Clean Care toilet paper.

{Giggle} It is perfect for the kid’s bathroom.   I am always scared of having the toilet paper out and sitting in one of those holders on the floor.   I have a 5 year old boy whose {ahem} aim isn’t always the best. So having it in a cute holder on top of the toilet is perfect.

  1. Beckie,
I’ve seen the commercials but hadn’t seen the actual cover! What you did with it is so darn cute! Perfect for any bathroom actually!

  2. Looks great!! My only concern would be guests looking for a spare roll and not knowing what it was. It looks too hip to be hiding a loo roll!!!

  3. My husband’s grandma has one of those and he always turned it around when he was little because he didn’t want the doll to watch him pee. HA!

  4. Thanks Gail! I used a wooden base in case it falls over. I had a glass one almost ready to paint and I was like “What was I thinking!” My kids would shatter that in a nano second.
