It is no secret that I have a newfound love for paper beads. Molly from It’s Molly sent me some gorgeous Halloween paper bead jewelry that I wore the whole month of October. They were similar to this.
I called them my ChaChaCha earrings. I decided to try my hand at it using the tutorial from Janice Mae from Aubrey’s Beads.
I used some strawberry scrapbook paper for the red and green color… and made some delicious paper beads totally copying Molly’s creations with a small clear seed bead on the top and bottom.
Then I attached them to some chain and made some ChaChaCha earrings for the Christmas holidays.
They are blingy and fun. LOVES EM! (My friends are teasing me in this picture…hence the cheesy smile).
I am amazed that they are made out of paper. Soooooo cute!

I NEVER would have guessed to use strawberry scrapbook paper to make red and green earrings that would turn out like yours. I guess you really can't tell what the pattern of the paper is? You just see the colors? Cute!
How cool, the styles are endless with all the different options in paper.
Several years ago I hosted a 'Bead for Life' party in which I sold paper beads and jewelry made from the beads for the African women who made them. They were stunningly beautiful, and I wear the necklace I purchased constantly. Paper beads are so fun! If you google Bead for Life, you can see these precious women work and learn about how they've raised themselves out of poverty rolling these wee treasures. 🙂
Those turned out pretty cute! Sorry I left before the final result! : ) Very Christmasy!
Love them! I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!!!
They are beautiful! 🙂 Wish I could've been there last night. I am slammed with laundry, packing, and all the stuff that goes along with getting ready to leave for a 12 hour journey with 2 children…hey, I forgot to include your 2 plastic food guards in the canning pot. I will have them for you next week at MTO. Blessings on you and yours this Thanksgiving season! Thanks for your friendship and constant inspiration. You are a great friend!
These are gorgeous, I would love to try my hand at these, already have the supplies now if I could just find the time somewhere, where in the world did I put that time? I know I laid it here somewhere. LOL Thank you for sharing these.
Too awesome!! If you checked my blog, you'd see I've made hundreds of paper beads that we used as garland on a Christmas tree for our local festival of trees. I glittered some… too cute!! I am thinking of copying your ideas as earrings or a necklace for Christmas gifts… if I can bring myself to make more paper beads!!
very cute! you know…you could make some really cute and easy wine glass charms with the same technique.
They look beautiful, I can belive it's paper.
These dangle paper bead earrings are FABULOUS! Very cute and so is your picture (it is not cheesy!).
Isn't it fun to see how the bead pattern turns out? Your colors are great for the holidays. Thanks for mentioning me, I'm honored =:o) ~ Molly
Too cute! I tried making some earrings over the summer – bought all kinds of beads, findings, tools, etc. It's not quite as simple as it looks. I'll leave the paper beads to you and just simply appreciate them. 🙂
