How to Paint a Brick Fireplace

I love a good before and after and this fireplace done by Monica from East Coast Creative is awesome.  She took this from blah to amazing overnight.  She whitewashed brick, paint the wood shelving and mantel and spray painted the brass fireplace surround all in 24 hours.  Check out how she did it.

How to Make a Reclaimed Wood Pumpkin

Laura from Finding Home is back ushering the fall in with some adorable pumpkins made from reclaimed wood.  I am not ready to bow to fall yet but my weather yesterday in Indiana was only 70! Plus I am always a sucker for the word “reclaimed”.  These make perfect door decor or even on a mantel or tablescape.   Welcome Laura!

Kitchen Herb Garden

Oh my gosh I literally squealed when I saw this project from Laura of Finding Home.  She thought completely out of the box with this vertical herb garden made from an old door, galvanized bins and some serving ware for decorations.  And I bet it smells delightful. This is a piece of art and quite brilliant..and functional!
