Easter is right around the corner. It is time to get my pastel on and create a few Easter decorations.   First up is to replace my “Kiss Me, I’m Irish Board,” with a new Easter one.

Introducing…my Bunny Hershey Kisses board! {Squuuueal!}

Are the bunny faces not the cutest thing you have ever seen?   In case you missed it those are inverted Hershey Kisses with a bunny face on it.

Supplies:

Hershey Kisses (Spring colors)

Patterned Paper (I used American Crafts Hello Sunshine line)

White cardstock

White vinyl

Hot Pink Vinyl

Glue Dots

12” x 12” MDF board (1/2”)

5/8” drill bit

electric drill

spray primer

Pink Spray paint

Silhouette Machine

Transfer Tape for Vinyl

Mod Podge

Foam Brush

Pencil

Ruler

1.   Mark off every one inch from left to right for the holes.   I did two rows of them so there are 22 kisses.   I would recommend doing a few less than that.   The ears look a little close together for me.

2.   Drill your holes using a 5/8” drill bit that looks like this…

3.   Spray prime and paint the board.   I used Krylon spray paint in Satin Ballet Slipper.

3.   Next print out the bunny ears and faces (on white cardstock) and then send it through the Silhouette to cut the circles and ears out.   Also cut out “kisses” on patterned paper. I also cut 1/2” strips to cover the sides.   Then Mod Podge (I used gloss) them all in place with a foam brush.   After it is dry, seal it with a coat of the Mod Podge.

4.   Cut out and adhere the “bunny” and “Happy Easter” vinyl. Add the little faces onto the Hershey kisses with glue dots and stick them into the drilled holes.

Try your darnedest to see if the kisses will last for one week in your house.   Doubt they will.

  2. That’s just darling! A kiss a day like an advent calendar. Nice idea, but the only way that would work at my house is if we had an extra bag or two on hand to keep from attacking the board.

  3. Ahhh, I can’t take it. Your ideas are out-of-this-world cute! I’m too lazy to learn how to use a silhouette machine but I daydream about it a lot!!!!! 8. I love this and have it all ready to go with the exception of the bunny faces and ears. I print them on my printer then when I run them thru the Silhouette the shapes are cut but not anywhere near the correct printed areas…help what am I doing wrong?

  9. Are you having the Silhouette machine look for the registration mark settings? You need to make sure it prints the registration marks on it and then when you run it through the Silhouette that you make it search registration marks first.

  10. I absolutely love this board. I didn’t get to make one this year – but next year, i’ll be all over it!! thanks for sharing!
