The moment I have been waiting for is here. I have been training for 5 months. I started out gasping for air and thinking I could not run one mile without dying. And here I am running over 15 miles through the hills if Kentucky today! I an running the Bourbon Chase.

Along with my husband and 5 other couples I adore we will cover 200 miles in the next 30 hours. I am posting this at 11:45 a.m. which is our start time.

I am running leg 7, 19 and 31 if you are interested in checking it out. The weather calls for rain and thunderstorms for the entire time. Should be interesting! Either way I will definitely look like this after each run. Wish me luck and I will let you know how it goes.

Go Green Miles! Thanks for making this an experience of a lifetime.

  2. Good luck! You've worked so hard for this! Hope the rain holds off for at least part of the run. Be sure to share pictures after you've recovered. 😉

  3. That's how I look after working out. My sweat glands in my face don't work and so instead I look like I'm gonna explode. I got that from my mom, so it must be a salzmann thing.

  6. Good luck! You'll do great. I started taking my mom's step aerobics class 6 wks ago – she's 81 btw, has lymphoma cancer, and is still a pistol! Class is kickin' my bootie, but I'm sticking w/it as I want to get back to dancing – it's been 20 yrs – but who cares?

  7. Great job on your runs Beckie!! You had some very tough routes but you stuck with them and finished all of them!! Not sure we will want to do it again, but proud to say we all accomplished something huge!! Way to go…

  8. Congratulations! Today I ran my first race too. A half marathon. It was hard, it was tough, but I did it and I am so proud of myself! You should be too.

  9. Wow, good for you! I just got into running about 6 months ago and I never thought I would like it so much. I havn't been able to find a 5k that I could participate in, but I did run one on my treadmill a couple of months ago. It sounds whimpy said like that, but it was a big deal for me. 🙂
