Recently my vacuum cleaner bit the dust. In 15 years of marriage I have been through 2 vacuums. That is pretty good, right? So I called the nice folks at Bissell to see if they had any new vacuums I could test out since I have been extremely happy with the other products I have tried out. They sent me the CleanView with One Pass Machine .
I will admit I was slightly nervous when I saw it retailed for only $79.99. That seems like a pretty cheap vacuum. I spent $200 on my last one. But I am willing to give anything a fair shot.
The first thing I noticed about this was how light it was. My other one was extremely heavy. So bringing it up the stairs always took some psyching up. I was a little nervous it wouldn’t be as powerful as my last machine, but, I must say this lightweight guy packs a punch.
It is hard to tell how it performs to my other vacuum since that one had a bag in it (so I couldn’t see the dirt) and this one was bagless. But since I could distinctly see the dirt in this one I knew it was cleaning my carpets. After vacuuming just my bedroom and the hallway upstairs this is how much it collected.
I have come to gather either we are extremely dirty people, my old vacuum hadn’t been doing a good job, or this machine is awesome. Or maybe a combo of the three .
Pros: Easy assembly! It took me 5 minutes to put it together. No husbands required! Extremely quiet! This is way quieter than the other ones I have had in the past. Lightweight! No more need to psych myself up to bring it upstairs. It cleans extremely well. I was impressed (should I use that word when it comes to the filth of my house?) with the amount of dirt it picked up. I also love the fact that it has a washable filter. Again…this cuts down on the cost since I had to replace the filters in my last vacuum.
Cons: The cord is a bit shorter than my last vacuum. I feel like 2 more feet would be perfect. You can see the dirt. If you are one that hates to see dirt I can see it bothering you to see the dirt just sitting there in the machine when you put it back into the closet. But the obvious benefit is that you can empty it each time if you wish. And if you are that type of person you probably wouldn’t want a bagless anyway. I wish the cleaning path were wider. My last machine had about a 2†wider path. I know 2†doesn’t seem like a lot, but for me, I noticed it right away.
Overall I would recommend this machine. All of my cons are a bit nit picky. But I like to do a full review and list all the things about it so you can make a good decision when making a purchase because these things might be a big issue to you. The price is extremely low compared to other vacuums.
I noticed they are all giving you a $10 instant rebate if you purchase it directly from them or a rebate form when purchasing from retailers like Amazon .
Bissell would like to give one of my readers a CleanView with One Pass Machine. Just follow the directions in the box below.
Thanks for the review and giveaway! Have a nice weekend!
The first time we used our Dyson was the day after vacuuming with our old sweeper (maybe 2 years old). I couldn’t believe how much dust and dirt it sucked out of our carpets. All vacuums are definitely not created equal.
I am in the market for a new vacuum thanks so much for sharing …wow very helpful.
Thanks for an opportunity to WIN!! Right On!
awesome timing- my cord just broke last week and I’d love a new vacuum…rather than repair this one….and Bissell is all I have bought over the years! Thx for the chance to win!
Thank you SO much for the great review and giveaway! Both my daughter and I need new vacuum’s so my fingers are crossed 🙂
