Maybe the alternate title for this post should be “5 Ways to Avoid Using Your Oven, This Summer.” Tell me I’m not the only one who can’t stand the extra heat a casserole in the oven adds to an already stifling kitchen! Temperatures aside, the availability and low cost of fresh produce during the summer months means it’s the perfect time to enjoy lighter fare like salads and sandwiches. With our newly stained deck becoming a place for us to enjoy spending more time outdoors, I need a few fun recipes for meals that we can enjoy indoors or out during summer’s hottest months.
