PB Christmas Living Room numbered1

There’s a chill in the air here that’s making me crave all things cozy.  I’m sure that’s one of the reasons I’m drawn to this Pottery Barn styled family room.  Along with the cozy factor, it offers a good, neutral palette that let’s the holiday decor take center stage.  The room itself has really good bones, and the seasonal decor simply adds to the beauty of the room.

I like the layered effect of this room–each layer adds something.  The paneled walls add visual interest–no framed art necessary.  The simply dressed windows bring in lots of light.  The furniture looks family friendly, and provides plenty of places to add in color and accessories with pillows and throws.  And it’s fun to see how nice the traditional red and green of Christmas look when showcased in a very neutral room.
