The much-anticipated Star Wars Episode VII is hitting theaters next week, and fans of all ages are pretty excited! It’s cool to see all the new Star Wars paraphernalia popping up in stores in preparation for the release, but why not DIY some at home? To prepare for the big day, check out these Star Wars themed crafts!


1. Pool Noodle Lightsabers


No Star Wars crafting is complete without a lightsaber! Check out these amazingly detailed ones made from pool noodles! The instructions are easy to follow, and you can make yours as detailed or simple as you desire!

2. Death Star Piñata 


Have fun making – and then destroying! – this Death Star piñata! This project looks awesome without breaking the bank, and is super simple to create. Plus, Michelle’s tutorial at Sunshine and a Summer Breeze could be used to make even more piñatas in the future.

3. Paper Snowflakes


With Episode VII being released in December, it’s the perfect time to make some Star Wars paper snowflakes. Download the free templates and cut out your own Stormtrooper, Vader or even Boba Fett snowflakes!  Let your kiddos dress up the windows with these cute snowflakes.

4. Finger Puppets
