Carnivore diet

The carnivore diet is a dietary regimen that involves consuming only animal products and eliminating all plant-based foods. This diet primarily includes meat, fish, eggs, and certain dairy products, with a focus on high-protein and high-fat intake while completely excluding carbohydrates from vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes.

Proponents of the carnivore diet claim it can lead to various health benefits, such as weight loss, improved mental clarity, and relief from certain chronic illnesses.

Critics, however, raise concerns about its long-term sustainability and potential nutrient deficiencies due to the lack of dietary variety and essential vitamins typically obtained from plant-based sources.

My approach? Experiment and decide for yourself! And I have been doing this and getting amazing results. I won’t share yet any of it until I get deeper into it but so far, so good.

No Carbs…why?

A diet with no carbohydrates, often referred to as a zero-carb or very low-carb diet, involves eliminating all foods containing carbohydrates, such as grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and sugary foods. Instead, it focuses on high-protein and high-fat foods like meat, fish, eggs, and some dairy products.

People choose this type of diet for several reasons. One common motivation is weight loss, as reducing carbohydrate intake can lead to a reduction in appetite and calorie consumption.

Additionally, a no-carb diet helps stabilize blood sugar levels, which can be particularly beneficial for those with insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes.

Others might follow this diet to manage certain health conditions, such as epilepsy or metabolic syndrome, or to reduce inflammation and improve overall energy levels.

However, it’s important to approach such a restrictive diet with caution and ideally under medical supervision, as it can lead to nutrient deficiencies and other health issues if not properly managed.
