My daughter is obsessed with headbands. It probably has to do with the fact that I bought her a bunch of headbands a year ago and she broke all of them and I told her she wasn’t old enough to wear them because she couldn’t take care of them. Well that just made headbands the forbidden fruit. So a few months back I bought her another one and told her she can’t stretch them out or wear them on her belly (yes, true story!) and now she won’t take them off. I will put her hair in two braids and five minutes later she has popped a headband over it.
Laura is going to show you how she took an old door and made her own version of a beverage bar station. Laura can rock the doors. If you missed last month’s post she made a kitchen herb garden out of an old door. Check out today’s think outside the box door project.
I have teamed up with Online Fabric Store this week to bring you four sewing tutorials using the most beautiful fabric like Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry and Michael Miller. I thought we would start the week with a backpack we made for Kayla’s upcoming school year. We? Yes we! My amazing cousin Lindsay is visiting from Chicago to help with these tutorials.
I am a fan of jewelry. Not dainty, fine, pretty jewelry. But the big, gaudy, blingy kind. When it comes to earrings, the longer the better. And I adore dangly drop ones. I fell in love with the $48 Piccadilly Chandelier Earrings from Anthropologie. So when Michaels challenged me to ReCreate something I decided these pretty chandelier earrings would be just the right project.
