DIY Upcycled Outdoor Beverage Station

Upcycled Outdoor Beverage Station Bar from Old Doors

Laura is going to show you how she took an old door and made her own version of a beverage bar station.  Laura can rock the doors.  If you missed last month’s post she made a kitchen herb garden out of an old door.  Check out today’s think outside the box door project.

Busy Bag Tutorial

So I know this week we have showed you how to do some pretty in depth sewing tutorials with the child’s backpackmega card holder wallet and the hanging toiletry bag.  I will say we saved the easiest sewing project for last.  This little “busy bag” is the perfect way to keep your kids occupied on long car rides, in restaurants, or waiting in the doctor’s office.

DIY Child’s Backpack {Sewing Tutorial}

DIY childs backpack tutorial

I have teamed up with Online Fabric Store this week to bring you four sewing tutorials using the most beautiful fabric like Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry and Michael Miller. I thought we would start the week with a backpack we made for Kayla’s upcoming school year.  We?  Yes we!  My amazing cousin Lindsay is visiting from Chicago to help with these tutorials.

DIY Stained Wood Shim Starburst Mirror

stained wood shim starburst mirror

I am absolutely thrilled with how my DIY stained wood shim mirror turned out.  I know there are a zillion tutorials out there for making mirrors like this.  However, I think I am the only crazy one that sanded and stained 315 wood shims.  That part was not for the weak of heart.  Me-oh-my!  But I love it, I love it, I love it and don’t regret the decision for one minute!
