“Something Old, Something New” Planter Box

I am so absolutely thrilled with how this DIY planter box turned out.  I finally used all the fence posts that I scavenged from my neighbors trash a couple of year’s ago….sniff.  I love the mix of old weathered wood with fresh rich stained tones.  This planter is huge coming in at 7 1/2 feet long.  It makes a huge impact as you walk up to my door and I love seeing some color on my porch area.

Krylon Painted Paint Stick Address Sign

Are you so sick of my paint stick projects?  I might be obsessed with these slim pieces of wood.  There are just so many things you can do with them.  Since I inherited a box of paint sticks, anticipate more projects in the future.  So Krylon asked me if I wanted to participate in a Spring project featuring a color pallet of their choosing.  So they sent me two color pallets (one of which I will showcase later this week) to use to create something Springy.

However, I love the corks and the bottles and all the ways to upcycle them.  Today Carmel is showcasing a project that uses corks and books to create little storage accessories for your bookshelves or desk.
