


Carmel from Our Fifth House is back sharing her spray painted nightstand. Who says furniture can’t be pink? I love it and the story behind it is even better. If you are one who hates painting over wood avert your eyes – it is pink alright!

I am changing out our color scheme in our family room. We painted the walls a light gray color which really helped lighten the space. Then I added the new painted striped curtains and now I am moving onto the lamps. They were red and now with a few cans of spray paint I turned them into some DIY ombre lamps.

While I love the effect of a glowing, scary-faced pumpkin on my porch on All Hallows Eve, I’m not exactly crazy about the slimy, seedy mess that goes along with carving pumpkins. Plus, a carved pumpkin only lasts for a few days. I’ve been saving great ideas for making pretty pumpkins without a single knife or slimy seed!
