Farmhouse Grain Sieve Light Fixture

Hi there again! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m back to share another project with you. I don’t know about you, but I really love unique lighting that isn’t generic and can’t be found in every home. And because I have an obscene crush with farm related items, I really wanted to make a light out of an aged grain sieve. Problem was, the only grain sieves I could find were either really expensive or way too big. So, I took matters into my own hands and decided to make my own… all for around $20! I am seriously in love with the outcome…

Industrial Wood and Pipe Hanging Beds

Last week I showed you my planked and 2×4 shelved wall.  Well this week I added some hanging beds into the mix for my 30 day challenge to makeover Isaac’s room.  And we love them.  Bonus: No more hiding clothes under the bed when moms says it is time to clean your room.  They are actually easier than they look to make.  I promise.  The hardest part is hanging the blocking in the attic.

Industrial Tiered Tabletop Succulent Garden

Originally inspired by Skip to my Lou’s cupcake stand, I took the project in a different direction to make a tabletop succulent garden. Succulents are probably the easiest plant to keep alive.  So for those of you who have a black thumb this project is for you.  Succulents are pretty hard to kill.  I love the greenery paired with the industrial metal tubes and end caps used in this project.  All these items can be found at Lowes.
