Today Sarah from Sarah Dorsey Designs is here to share with you a free printable “Home is Wherever I’m With You.” As someone who has lived in Illinois, Virginia, California, Washington and Indiana this statement is pure fact. As long as I am with my family I am at home.
I am going to show you the little gallery wall I made in my studio. I will admit gallery walls seem very intimidating. Do you go for the same color frame? Do you have all different kinds of frames? Do you try and vary the color in your frames or stick with a scheme? How do you add personal pieces but still make it look cohesive? How do you space them just so? How do you make it look put together but eclectic?
I found this amazing dining area with banquette seating, pictured at Better Homes and Gardens. There are lots of things that appeal to me about this space: the natural lighting, the banquette seating, the simple drum shade, the cheerful fabrics, and the gallery-style artwork above the windows. I challenged myself to find at least five tutorials for projects that might help me replicate the look of this room.
I am working on a gallery wall at Denise’s house so I got the bug to do one in my own. I have plans for a large one but for now I started small with a Mini Gallery Wall. I purchased nine 5”x7” frames from the Dollar Tree and used some leftover spray paint from previous projects to create a nice little gallery of pictures of my husband I over the last 15 years for our master bedroom wall.
