Shayna is the voice and DIY enthusiast at The Wood Grain Cottage. She lives with her husband on their farm in beautiful Colorado where they just built their new home. Shayna loves to work on DIY projects and is often found sweet talking her handy husband into helping her with her latest idea. One project at a time, they inject more of that cottage-y farmhouse style that they love into their home, all while making sure there is plenty of wood grain mixed in there too. When she’s not busy working on projects, searching thrift stores or consignment stores, she can generally be found sippin’ sweet tea on the back patio while watching their crops grow. Connect with Shayna on FacebookPinterestGoogle +, Instagram and Twitter.

Carmel is a Southern California girl who fell in love with a blue-eyed boy with a southern accent and followed him around the country until they finally decided to put down roots in the bluegrass. She chronicles her adventures in transforming their fifth house into a home on her blog aptly named, Our Fifth House. Carmel believes that creating a home is a journey not a destination and that everyone’s home should tell their own unique story. She takes a no-fear-no-rules approach to decorating because she believes it’s not rocket science – it’s fun!
