Goodwill Shop and Hop Event

Sarah and I had our big Goodwill Shop and Hop event this past  Saturday in Indy.

We had a blast meeting up with local bloggers and lovers of all things thrifty.  Even though the rain tried to dampen the day – the great Goodwill finds livened it up a bit.

We started at Buca Di Beppo’s for lunch…IMG_1658

IMG_1657 There, we were encouraged hearing from Tim Cooper the Senior Director of Retail Stores for Goodwill in the Indy area.  It really gave us perspective and excitement to support the Goodwill cause.  They actually have a charter school for high school drop outs where 85% of them go onto a post secondary education.  Isn’t that awesome?

Then we hopped in our vans and started shopping but not before we drooled over the sweet swag bags.  Thank you to our UH-MAZING sponsors…

Gorilla Glue, 3M, Behr Paint, Mod Podge, Krylon and Eclectic Cabinets Knobs and Decor

I think Goodwill made a pretty penny off these ladies…

IMG_1679IMG_1680IMG_1681IMG_1670IMG_1671IMG_1672 IMG_1669 IMG_1673IMG_1675 It was so fun meeting all these wonderfully, talented women.  At the end of the day it was like we were old friends.  I can’t wait to see all the transformations of their finds. Coming soon a blog near you!

Thank you Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana!

  • Megandvd@Beauty in the Attempt

It was such a WONDERFUL time! What a delightful way to shop. All the girls were so fun and so encouraging…it was simply a perfect time.
**I think only once did I want to nab a treasure out of a girl's hand (Darn Heather and that J CREW sweater!) Hehehe! She does have the touch.

Thank you so much for putting your time and thoughtfulness into a giddy experience.

    Cheers~

  • Jenn

Okay, my Goodwill does NOT look like that at all!! I had no idea I was missing out on that kind of loot!

    Looks like a good time!

  • Lorie

Had a great time. My daugher sported her new dress today at church and looked (if I do say so myself) to cute for words. Then she found the easter hat and had to wear it around the house. I gained 5 lbs looking at all her sweetness. My grey shirt got a workout at church and was awesome too for getting dirty. Can't wait to revamp my other goodies!!!
Ladies stay in touch it was fun meeting you all.

That looks like so much fun! And what a nice looking Goodwill. We don't have GW in Germany, but the last 2 we lived near in the States were ratty and scary. I want to visit your GW!

  • MaryJanes and Galoshes

Oh I wish I lived close enough to come! I have outing envy. But all that competition for getting the goodies in one goodwill, I hope you ladies didn't tear out to much hair lol. Your goodwill looks really large!

  • Amanda@Imperfectly Beautiful

Becki – i love the chairs you re-did. Please tell me that fabric is more ivory than white! I have a friend who is doing an ivory/black damask wedding – and it looks like perfection! I love the chairs (00ps – already said that!) I have my grandma's barrel back chair – and of course – love it!

  • Devonay@LumpkinAndMe
