Easter Tulip Centerpiece

I have been crushing on fresh flowers in my home lately…especially tulips!  They are such a beautiful flower and come in such an array of colors.  I have seen quite a few fun flower ideas where you utilize two vases to give some color and fun to a flower arrangement.  The peeps (pun TOOOOTALLY intended) at Ibulb came up with this project.  This one is perfect for your Easter table with Peeps and Jelly Beans.

Supplies:

6” x 8” glass vase

4/5” x 8′” glass vase

Bunny Peeps

Jelly Beans

15-30 tulips

1. The trick to making this tromp l’oeil arrangement is a double-walled vase. Select two clear glass vases (both about 8 inches tall), so that one fits within the other and leaves a gap of at least 1 to 1.5 inches.  This one utilizes a 6” in diameter and 4.5” inches in diameter glass vase.  The Dollar Tree is a great place to look for vases like this.

2. Fill the smaller vase 1/3 full with water and place inside the larger vase. Use Easter candy such as jelly beans, candy eggs and Peeps to fill in the gap between the vases.

3. Remove the leaves (if desired) and trim flower stems of 15 to 30 tulips (depending on width of inner vase) to 9 inches long. Gather all of the tulips to form a bunch and place gently into the small inner vase.
