Clip-On Chalkboard Tags

Have you started wrapping presents yet? I must admit I wrapped a couple this morning. The daunting task of wrapping them all in one night has never quite appealed to me so I try and do a little at a time. Karianne is back to show you how to make some clip-on chalkboard gift tags that you can reuse over and over.

Hello Infarrantly Creative readers!

It’s KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms coming to you from the Gatehouse decorated with all things pink.

Here’s a fun little project to make your Christmas wrapping a snap (total pun intended).

Clip-on Chalkboard Gift Tags

This is one of those projects that takes 10 minutes and costs under a dollar for two tags….

…and when you make it and put it on a present….

…you look like such a rock star.

Try it.

You will be so all about yourself in no time.

wood tags

chalkboard labels

pink clothes pins

white paint

Step 1:  Paint tags white

I used regular acrylic paint.

Let dry according to directions.

Sand rough edges (you can even distress if you want to).

Step 2:  Place chalkboard labels on tag

Peel chalkboard labels off and place on the center of the tag.

I bought these labels at Hobby Lobby.

Step 3:  Hot glue clothespin to back

Take a clothespin and hot glue to back.

Let glue dry and write a message on the front with chalk.

Then clip tag onto a present!

I found these amazing chalk markers at the craft store that made writing so much easier.

See how easy that was!

You can make two tags for under $1.00.

And after you finish and the presents are wrapped…and the chalkboard tags are written.

Sit back….smile…and remember that….

…you are truly a rock star. :)
