I must say, the more pops of emerald I see in decor the more it is growing on me. I am never one to be a trend setter. Usually I am a late adopter, how about you? When Lowes challenged me to bring a pop of emerald into my home I racked my brain trying to figure out where it could go.

Her technique is simple enough to transfer into all sorts of ideas, like a sharpie desk, art piece, lampshade, etc. This whole little area she created is drool worthy. I showed you Isaac’s new Lego Table I made from a 1980s parquet table this week. He adores it and has spent every waking moment up there since he received a bunch of new Lego sets for his birthday last week. Did you notice those adorable little Lego head bins? Nope I didn’t buy those.
1980s parquet tables with glass insets run rampant on Craigslist. I scored one for cheap and transformed it into an amazing DIY Lego table for my son. The cool part is the baseplates are removable so you can move your Lego creations to another location.

When I saw her blog and her amazing style I reached out to her and begged her to be part of my team. I saw these adorable font art pieces at Uncommon Goods perfect for Mother’s Day. The artist is Patricia Carlin and she has all sorts of cool stuff on there. The ones I liked the best was the math equations showing the infinite love you have for your kiddos or grandkids. They are super simple to make using the online program Ipiccy.com and would be a quick gift for Mother’s Day this weekend. I also have a free printable to help you get started.
Karianne from Thistlewood Farms amazes me with her think-outside-the-box projects. She repurposed an old shipping pallet into a flipping desk!!! What in the world. Reason number 535 why I love that she is a contributor on my blog. Be amazed friends…be amazed.
