Babba Co Box Review and Giveaway

Babba Co is a monthly subscription box for kids ages 3-6, delivered to your door filled with projects, activities, books, digital downloads and online content. It’s a theme-based box with ALL the physical materials to really engage with your kids.  My kids are 3 and 6 so they fell perfectly in the age range.  We got to sample the gratitude box below.  I am not kidding you this little box of goodies engaged my kids for 4 hours!

My kids are used to boxes coming daily to our house and it never being for them.  So imagine their surprise when this box came just for them.  We tore it right opened and started on the activities.  Of course, off the bat, I loved the theme of gratitude and teaching my children that value for this month’s activity.

The first activity we did was a cork hot pad.  Isaac placed stickers on the cork and then painted over it.  Then he peeled back the stickers to show off his message.  The stickers were a little difficult to work with because they aren’t meant to be permanent and just provide a temporary stick, so we got a little bleed through. But all in all, Isaac thought it was so cool peeling the stickers away and seeing the letters show.

There was also a bunch of art supplies to make thank you cards.  My kids got enjoyed using the markers and stickers and googly eyes.  As you can see below my daughter got really into it.

Next up BabbaCo provided us with a disposable camera to take pictures of things we were grateful for.  I guess I should have given clearer direction on how to take pictures.  We only got 10 photos off the roll due to a little boys fingers over the lens. DOH!  But he still had fun snapping pics and telling me why he was grateful for the thing he was photographing.  Then we picked the pictures to put in a gratitude journal.gratitude_journal

Last up was a painted acrylic tray with the word “thanks” on it.  This would be a great gift if you added some baked goods and wrapped it up.tray_project

The love the concept of the Babba Box especially if you struggle to be creative with your children.  This lays out each step and has all the supplies included – no thinking necessary.  But it is more than just a “craft box” it also has a book that shares each month’s theme as well as online activities and apps for your Iphone.

This month’s free app from Babba Co was Cookie Doodle.  My kids LOVED this app.  Isaac was entertained for an hour making cookies.  In fact, he made a cookie for you complete with sprinkles, marshmallows and white chocolate chips.  You’re welcome. Smile
