Well I put away my Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Pillow and remembered that I bought some Easter fabric napkins on clearance at Target last year. At $.39 a napkin I knew I could turn it into something cute. I actually don’t have an Easter pillow (GASP!) so I decided to correct that and whip one up with two of the napkins. Not bad for $.78!

Supplies:
2 Fabric Napkins
Sewing machine
Coordinating thread
Ruler/Rotary Cutter and Mat

1. First I cut out the “Happy Easter” part on the blue napkin and frayed the edges a little bit.
2. Next I cut out a 17” x 13” piece from the Easter egg napkin. And then I cut out two pieces 11 x 13” of the blue to make an envelope style closure.
3. I pinned and stitched the “Happy Easter” piece onto the front of the egg fabric.
4. I pressed under the 13” side of the blue fabric twice and then sewed a straight line (doing this on both pieces of fabric). Then I pinned it in place and sewed everything closed. I clipped the corners and then turned it right side out and inserted a 12” x 16” lumbar pillow form.
It took me all of about 15 minutes to complete. Have I talked you into learning how to sew yet? You can do it! I am self-taught! Buy yourself a cheap starter sewing machine and experiment. Of course I think pillows are the quickest and easiest way to change out a room so start there first! Do you love pillows? Click here to see more!

Your Birth Announcement Pillow inspired me to make one for a friend and while I’m a super novice sewer, it was much easier than I thought. Thanks for all the great tutorials!
I want to see a pic!!!
I love that it cost you less than a dollar!
You certainly can’t beat that pice! I really want to start sewing but just haven’t taken the plunge and bought a machine yet.
Oh it is so fun and rewarding. And seriously easier than you think.
Buying a sawing machine is really a great investment that opens doors for your future development and some really fun times!
Adorable! Love the cute little “patch” on the front.
