I am so happy to be participating in Beckie’s Pennywise Presents Series. When Beckie asked me to participate, I knew exactly what I would share. This little DIY Project is so easy and so inexpensive. I got the idea for this project after I used split peas for another project I did with pumpkins.
Here’s a little secret about me:
I’ve got a crush on split peas.
When I saw how pretty the split peas were on my pumpkins, I decided to try making some ornaments with them. I placed the ornament on a glass and grabbed my craft glue. It is a really thick glue that doesn’t run.
I poured some of the glue and split peas onto a paper plate and decided to use a q-tip to apply the glue to the ornament.
I started out trying to make my “dots” of glue even around the ornament, but it didn’t stay that way.
I ended up just placing a dot of glue wherever it looked like it was needed, stopping every so often to place a split pea on the glue. I had fun trying all different types of patterns.
Lastly, I tied a brown ribbon at the top of the ornament just because I love white , green, and brown together. I think I red ribbon would look equally pretty. That’s it! Can it get any easier than that? I think not! 
This would be a great project to do with your children! It would be so easy for them to help you.
I wish I had my Christmas tree up, so I could show you pictures of the ornaments on a tree!
But unfortunately, we will not be putting up our tree for a few more weeks. I think these ornaments would look great covering a whole tree.
