A couple of weekends ago I went down to Louisville, Kentucky to participate in the Mint Julep Jaunt put on my Gail from My Repurposed Life and Erin from Beauty in the Attempt. We stopped at a Salvation Army that had a lumber and building materials section and I found this unique light. I loved the different shape to it and the fact that its one-of-a-kind so I snatched it up at only $4.99. For an industrial wire basket light that is a steal. I also picked up a $.99 vintage globe shade as well.
It reminded me of the Mechanics Beacon Light series from Anthropologie for $148.
I simply sprayed it with some Clean Metal Primer by Rustoleum and then Krylon’s Satin Nickel Metallic Finish spray paint.
I don’t normally lean towards industrial type pieces. However, in a laundry room I think “industrial” is a great look since it is such a working space anyway.
