I can’t believe my little girl is one. We had a great first birthday party for Kayla on Friday with our family. I already told you about her adorable outfit made by Texas Monkey Boutique here. I hope you checked out her site and her UH-MAZING prices and ordered a Valentine poof for a little girl in your life.
I made her cupcakes onesie. I loosely followed Lil Blue Boo’s tutorial but I embroidered her name on the cupcake liner and didn’t add as much tulle and fabric because I got lazy and rushed. But it turned out cute enough anyway.
I popped on over to Maddycakes Muse which is an adorable party idea site just in time to win a printable party decor set perfect for her party.
If I had any skills in digital designing I would totally make printable party decor. I think it is brilliant. For $10 you can get a PDF chock full of decor to print from your own printer. That is cheap and totally worth it in my book! This is what it came with:
Customizable Square Invitation + Tulip Envelope
Thank You Note
Cupcake Picks / Garland Rounds
Cone Party Hats
Goody Bag Toppers
Birthday Gift Log
Take-out Style Favor Boxes
Cupcake Wrappers
Pennant Banner “Happy Birthday”
Napkin Rings / Candle Wraps / Vase Wraps
Snack Box / Hamburger Sleeve
Full Sheet Patterned Paper
Front Door Banner
Birthday Crown
And here it is in action…

Napkin Rings
Cupcake Wrappers
Remember my CRAAAZZY week? In desperation I called a friend of ours named Dennis who is a chef by trade and begged him asked him to frost the cupcakes and Kayla’s cake for me. I was totally content with a tub of white frosting but look what he comes up with…flower, stem, dirt, bumble bee. Over the top? Totally, but I loves it.
Ok and I wanted to interject a totally adorable baby shower idea. At my baby shower, my friend Amy decorated a cute box and bought a bunch of candles with some strips of paper. Everyone who was at my baby shower wrote their “wish” for my baby girl on their birthday. Each year it is a surprise to open up a new candle and read what they wrote.
So I opened up the first candle and that is what she used on her first cake. It was from a friend named Nikki who wrote, “Baby Farrant, Happy Birthday! My wish for you this year is that you have a special relationship with your big brother.” Isn’t that a unique and thoughtful idea?
Happy Birthday Sweet Kayla Beth. Momma loves you with her whole heart.
with her daddy

how very sweet!
my daughter won't let me put a ribbon, barrette, bow, headband or anything on my granddaughter's head. isn't that sad? (for me, hah!) i might order a tutu & let her wear it when mommy's not around.
She is precious!!! Love her sweet little cheeks.
First of all, Happy Birthday to your baby girl! Her party looks cute and I love that printable PDF party package idea–I've never hear of that before.
Second, LOVE the birthday candle wish idea. So sweet!

Lovin' the cupcake shirt, too. You rock!
Amazing how fast that year has gone by – isn't is so much faster with the second one – all those milestones just blur together on baby#2! Her birthday looks amazing and the cupcake onesie is sooo cute – love it! They have a bunch of cupcake first b-day clothes right now at Kohl's here but yours is one-of-a-kind. The cake was beautiful – you always amaze me how many people you have at your beck-and-call – must be nice to be so loved! Happy Birthday beautiful baby Katelyn!

Wow – how can it be that your little angel is a year old already? It seems like just a few months since I was there and you had just one little toddler — it's been two years already! Happy Birthday to your sweet little girl!

Aren't I supposed to say that's ill. LOL. I'm so out of it. She is so adorable in her birthday outfit from head to toe.

Wow! I just LOVE the tutu. I've been running around like a chicken without a head trying to find that exact style of tutu. Could you possible share the tutorial on how you made it? It would be perfect for my baby Keira's bday. Could you e-mail me?
