Optional”: Make some pom poms out of 1/2” x 45” strip of fleece following this tutorial. Hand sew them in place with a needle and thread.
The only tutorial you need for this is to buy these adorable Button Art Buttons by Blumenthal-Lansing Company. You can find them at Joann Fabrics this week for $1.97 They are hanging on an end cap in the button or the quilting fabric section..check both if you have having trouble finding them. You may want to print the picture and take it with you. They have ornaments, Christmas trees, and snowmen. Get some coordinating thread and a needle and sew it on a shirt.

Wow! I do not sew – but the button art on the shirts made me excited because I CAN sew a button on! (that's the extent of my sewing ability!) What a fun craft that my daughter would be so happy to watch me do!! Thank you for these awesome ideas!
